Looking back over the summer, this was my VERY favorite summer day ~~ gliding in the canoe over the water to the piney woods, cool breezes, & a lovely lazy summer day picnic ~~ moving slowly through the lake is so mesmerizing, hypnotizing, soothing, & calm ~~ this day was what summer is all about & I loved it ~~ After a super hot summer here in Texas, the last two weeks we've had wonderful summer storms with lots of rain & cooler days ~~ really nice!
Happy end of summer - I'm SO happy fall is coming!

I LOVE canoeing! It is always so peaceful and beautiful being on the water like that. It's been years since I did it, maybe I should put together a canoe trip for this fall:>)
Canoeing is such fun and it looks like you all really enjoyed the day. We have no large lakes close by so it is very seldom that we get to one.
I am not ready to let summertime go just yet...however, we can sure feel and smell fall in the air out here in West texas....I am one that loves summer and winter but not crazy about fall or spring...
Looks like a great place to have fun and relax. I am ready for fall too. Goodbye to high temps!
